An orange-coloured carpet is spread across the floor within a rectangular room, meticulously cut out to resemble the silhouette of a bare tree. Underneath a portion of the carpeting, a group of black-painted broomsticks push upwards, forming a tangled bulge within the otherwise flattened surface of the silhouette image. Within the middle of the tree figure an opaque circle of A4 paper sheets form a “moon rise” scene through the branches of the “tree”.

Extending away from the set of propped up broomsticks, three separate segments form an appendage that reaches out and touches a glass door pane. The surface of the broomsticks is heavily scarred and potted with shallow indentions and are jointed-together by wooden pegs. At the point where the broomstick makes contact with the windowpane, several strips of tape lead away from the tip, implying a point of impact against the glass.
